We are created from a mass of cells each of which has an energy field around it; we are therefore surrounded by an energy force field. This energy field reflects the state of our mind, our emotions and our physical state and is constantly changing depending on what we are experiencing in life at any one moment. Energy Therapy focuses on this energy field (commonly referred to as the aura) and a therapist can transform the way a person feels by simple methods of clearing and revitalising.
If you find you become exhausted whether you work hard or not then you could be suffering from blocked energy. Blocks are created in your aura by congested energy caused by worry, stress and anxiety. Every single thought is energy and it carries the emotion that we hold and negative thoughts of any kind have a heavy and slow vibration and they hang around in our aura. If we consistently have the same thoughts then these collect and create a “thought form” which acts as a block to the natural flow of life energy that we need to flow though and round us to feel good.
Some people consistently give out negative energy – either because they are fearful; have low self esteem; are resentful and hold grudges; feel guilty or feel overwhelmed by life and need others for support. These people create energy hooks into those around them and they can “drain” us when we have spent time in their company.
Energy imprints can also disturb our peace of mind. These are created by traumatic and painful experiences in our past and their impact can sometimes stay around us for a long time. Hence situations that occurred in our childhood can be affecting our current energy state and leave us debilitated emotionally.
There are many ways to clear energy. I use a simple sweeping method where I use my hands as combs and holding the intention of release while shifting the energy and lifting the vibration. This has the effect of “lightening the load” and clearing the atmosphere around the client. This sometimes releases emotions that have been held for years. Using techniques similar to those of a life coach I show my client that negative attitudes and view of life can deplete their energy and I encourage a positive approach – seeing the glass half full rather than empty.
I also encourage my clients to use exercise, diet and pampering to help release anxieties and stress. Even a simple walk in the park or by the sea can shift blocks and improve our mood.
With the energy blocks cleared we can then focus on connecting to universal energies to uplift and recharge. I then focus on the wellbeing of my client and their needs and connect to the energies of strength, love and empowerment. As the client opens up to receive these powerful forces they can feel a variety of sensations. Some feel a tingling as energy moves into parts that have been stagnant and dormant, some feel heat as heavy energy becomes lighter and flows. A sense of peace and calm descends and anxieties and fears tend to dissolve as the entire energy field becomes lighter and less dense.
Ways to lighten and recharge your own energies:
- Release anger with forgiveness
- Take time to walk and enjoy nature
- Listen to calming music
- Allow yourself and others to be free from controls
- Care and pamper yourself
- Follow pursuits that inspire and uplift you
- Sweep your energy field and release other people’s energy hooks
- Connect to sources of the energy you need by focusing on them
e.g. love – a mother and child, strength – a great mountain, peace – a great lake. Think of people that inspire you.
The Healing power of Plants
